Witzee and Donna showed up on Thursday night to get the party started.  The Witz brought up a growler of double infused IPA  and 3 growlers of black lager  - he is the best.  Karen was surprised at how good it was.  Josey showed up with his driver (shaney) later that night  and hung out at the fire on the back porch till the wee hours of the morning.  On Friday the crowd rolled out of bed (and joe off the sofa)  and we loaded up shaney boy's car and waited for Pops who was using DumDum and got lost.   On the way to the course Shane got passed on 662 by some old lady and that was pretty much the highlight of the day.  AT the course we were waiting for Burnzee of course but he arrived 20 minutes late (which is actually 30 minutes early for him).  Burnzee and Josey teamed up with the 2 Fords (Pops and Ted)  and the scramble match was underway.  Sweaty joined Luke and Witzee and the 2 youthful left handers to make a solid 5 some at the second tee.  Witzee and sweat were crushing the ball all over the place and Christian and shane were mostly hitting out of bounds but one thing was constant and that was Witzeee getting upset with the deliberate play of the group in front of him.  At the 9th, Witz made his move and passed the old dopes and then they passed him on the 10th and Witzee was getting angry.  But lukie talked him into giving the dopes a 20 minute head start and maybe we wouldn;t have to wait at every hole - it almost worked.  After golf we headed back to the house for some of those doll strombolis and the Poker match.  It ended being 7 howards. (luke, karen, Joe, Christian, Shane, Stephanie, and Matt) against the witzee - Burnzee would have loved it. The kids were dispatched quickly and luke was next out leaving four players with 3 getting money.  The Howards teamed up and ousted the witzeee to keep the dough in the family.  Joe's chip stack was low so he went all in with 3-9 offsuit against doll's pocket pair of 7s and he hit a 9 on the flop and held on to double up but still had the small stack.   Sweat had an insurmountable chip lead but kept going in with nothing and was soon wiped out.    Doll then hit a pair of jacks on the flop and Josey went all in for some reason with Ace-2 of clubs.  When a club came up on the turn josey picked up a flush draw but was dtill a 3-1 underdog to be knocked out but he dealt himself the ace of spades of the bottom and won the big pot crippling the Doll.  Doll was on tilt and went all in on the next hand with 3-7 offsuit and was dismissed and Josey took the Championship.  The poker didn't stop there as a  spirited game of  one card Injun which Speedy thoroughly enjoyed.  On saturday morning the golfers started arriving around 9 AM but half of the bastards hadn't paid yet so Sweat was put in charge of collections.  Davey Boy got in an accident  on Friday night so he wouldn't have to play and his group went on to post the low score (60) without him - they didn't win though.  Dooner and his Electric Pyramid Scheme generously sponsored the first hole - Ask me How.  Things went smoothly and with only 11 groups things moved along well.  Donna was out here pushing the beer and Liquor and sweaty was manning the grill keeping the food coming.  Hardly anyone got hammered except maybe Joe Donahue's group but Christian did his imitation of Derek the Drunk.    And now for the Awards:

Closest to Pin  Winners

Hole #2   Miles put it to 82 feet (82') but people thought it was 82 inches (82") so nobody put their name down after Miles.  The award was given to the other Rauscher brother cause he was probably closer and he was jealous his big brother won the 13th hole

Hole # 5  - Bob Schoeds  hit it to 34 feet and that was enough to wim - you guys suck!!

Hole # 11 –  In some home cooking at this hole the Sweat was the only name on this card at 9 feet.

Hole # 13 Frank Rauscher nailed this one - what a tough guy

Long Drive Winners

Hole # 6  - Billy Bob blasted one out there at 265 but Miles carries that on the fly but failed to show up at the pavilion so Billy Bob walked away with the hardware

Hole # 14 – Miles put one out there at 272 but young Clemens came in at 273 to take the award.  it should be noted that Security Boy's name was also on the card with a 168 yard blast

Hole #17  - Security Boy hit another monster drive at 175  but Miles had the drive of his life at 310 yards but neither golfer made it to the pavilion so one of the rauscher boys stepped up and took the award

Other Prizes

First hole Accuracy – There was no line out there to aim for so we put pops name on the card cause he was almost in the fairway.  One of those douche bags from the Tuze group  (I think it was Tuze 3)  stole the award from the old man - that is heartless - you might not have Pops to push around next year

Hole Number 10  Tough guy drive  -  No card turned in but there was no prize so it all worked out.

Biggest Whiner - The witzee bitched and moaned about everything but  bhe did have to play with Burnzee so there are extenuating circumstances - we won an old burnzee tee shirt

First to Pay Yatsko was tied with Craig Gaul they both got some nice hand lotion

Best Driver - Shane E Boy ,  Josey's private driver, did another bang up job chauffering the drunks around even though some old lady passed him on 662

High Score  - Ernie and the boys knocked it out of the park with a 10 over blasting by the nearest competition at 5 over  - a niice job by the Reading Open Rookies

Money Holes

Hole # 9 – Cuzzin Jimi no past slid one to 21 feet but the Deitz (Tuze2) got it to 9' 8"  to collect the 50 large

Hole # 15 – Lukie dribbled  it to within 5 feet on the second shot ( i can't imagine what drive he used with that group) But the last group (surprise, surprise) took the dough with Bob Schoeds flopping one to 3 feet 3 inches!!

Hole# 18  Miles buddy put it to 12 feet  but Tommy Clemens came in at 10 feet to cash in.

The Big Winners

And now for the Greater Reading Open Champions.  The Clemens boys and the Nurses' Husbands both shot 61 so a playoff hole was needed.  Both teams smoked drives right next to the green but the Clemens were at the beach.  Three of their sand shots couldn't hold the Green but Tommy Clemens kept his on the putting surface at about 10 feet.  The Nurses were putting and Craig just missed dropping the eagle and greg was no slouch either but they ended up with a birdie  and Bill Clemens dropped the 10 footer for the Clemens boys and it was still a tie.   SO it was off to the Pavilion and a chip onto the 3rd green for the Championship.  They all lined up for the chip about 20 yards from the green and only Tommy could keep his on the surface ( yeaf and these guys were 9 under) and the Boys walked away with the coveted cup.
